REVIEWS: (The Oak Ridger, 4/5/92)

  • Farr Horizons were a class act in both their attractive music and attractive appearance.”

  • “The program never ceased to be pretty, interesting and warmly committed.”

  • “The combined delicacy of their instruments and the musicianship of each player culminated in some of the most pleasant music imaginable.”

  • “Their love for what they do shows on their faces while they play and feel the music together.”

  • “The spirit of the compositions was always expressed, sometimes whimsically charming and sometimes romantically lush.”

  • “It is especially exciting to hear a program in which nothing is routine or taken for granted.

  • With the warm and supple tones of cello, flute and harp, touched by the delightful ringing of glockenspiel, "Winter Reveries" brings a fresh, crisp sound to the holidays, as clear and brisk as the frost blanketing the world outside. The same way snow crackles and crunches after freezing, there is a tangible, wintry sensation emanating from this charming album. Classical originals shimmer alongside well-loved pieces from the Nutcracker and less popularized Christmas songs to build a 14-track album of perfect seasonal mood music.

LETTERS: Heartfelt Gratitude- Just a handful...

Dear Elizabeth,

I really appreciate you helping us to celebrate and memorialize my husband’s life on Monday, especially at short notice.  He would have loved the music.

With sincere thanks, Margaret K.

Thank you, Darling, for your beautiful music.   It was “more than I dreamed” said the Bride.   Love, Ginger

Dear Elizabeth,

This is a GREAT BIG “Thank you” for all you did to help Kate and Shawn’s wedding be as lovely as it was.  First, you told us we needed an organizer…Sally.

(I guess I though if it were in a tent it was all too informal to be organized!)  Also, you suggested the fans, which was great fun, plus a help in the heat.

Thank you for being so accommodating in moving your harp up and down the hill.   The music was wonderful…fun and joyous and we all loved hearing you and your group.

I can’t imagine our wedding without all your help and input.  We are very appreciative to you for all you gave us.

Gratefully, Helen K.

Dear Elizabeth,

Just a note to say how pleased we were with the music at our daughter Molly’s wedding.   We had countless compliments from guests who were most impressed by the uniqueness and magic of both the selections and the performance.  We are grateful to you for your suggestions and guidance through the planning stage, and for the superior execution of the music.

We’ll eagerly await the release of your new CD.

Warmest regards and gratitude,

Donna M.

Dear Elizabeth,

I am writing to you from California.  A few months ago you played throughout the visitation and funeral service of my uncle in Lafollette.   Since I returned home, I have not been able to let this out of my mind and heart, and I could not rest until I let you know how much this meant to me.   You have a God-given gift to touch others with your wonderful music.

Thank you for sharing the spirit with us.  It meant so much.

Sincerely,

Joan B.
